A healing power that restores us...

This past Saturday at FUSE Jesus Community, a danceoff was held. After watching a video about a crazy foreigner searching for a ninja, our very own ninja came out on stage to show some dance and fighting moves and see who could replicate best. At FJC, as always we had FUSE Band playing some great music, and Mark gave a message on what Jesus did on earth. He preached good news of healing and hope, but He also lived it. Jesus healed back then and He still does today as well. 前回のFuse Jesus Communityではダンスバトルが繰り広げられました！忍者を追い続ける在日アメリカ人のオモシロVideoを上映後、なんと本物（？）のカンフーファイターがFJCに乗り込んできた！！カンフーファイターの挑戦に挑む勇敢な男子ふたりがダンスバトルにチャレンジ！Fuse BandのExcitingなライブあり、Markのメッセージも最高だった！イエスは希望と癒しを届けるために地球に来た。その癒しと希望の働きは今日も変わらず、私たちの人生を最高のものにしようと両手を広げて待っている！

This Saturday at FUSE Jesus Community, Debbie will give a message on "The Cross." There will also be awesome music and a game of donut fishing. The following Saturday at FJC (January 23rd) is a special event to warm you up from this cold weather; we will not be meeting at 3, but instead we will start at 6:30 for our Hawaiian night. FUSE JESUS COMMUNITY...!!!!

This week signified a new start as there were some changes at the FUSE. Mark spoke about these changes. Perhaps the most noticeable change is the name; instead of just being referred to as the "FUSE", we are now being called "FUSE JESUS COMMUNITY"!! We want to emphasize that this is not just an event, but a community full of relationships that last all week long between each other and God. 今週のFUSEは、新たな始まりの詰まった集まりになった!Markが話してくれたように、その中でも一番大きなChangeは、この集まりの名前。今までは"The FUSE"って呼んでたけど、これからは"FUSE JESUS COMMUNITY"になりました!!何でか?っていうと、これがただのイベントなんじゃなくて、たくさんの友達、そして神さまとの絆を深めていくコミュニティであって、そのつながりは毎週土曜だけじゃなくずぅっと続いてくんだよっていうFUSEの全貌をみんなにもっとよく知ってほしかったから!!

Though many of the surface things are changing during this time, our heart remains. FUSE JESUS COMMUNITY is still focused on building relationships with people and with God, bringing hope to everyone we meet, and having a fun time together!! 名前の変化とか表面的なことが変わっても、私たちのハートは変わらない!FUSE JESUS COMMUNITYは人と神さまとのつながりにフォーカスしてて、出会う人みんなに希望をシェアして、一緒にエキサイティングな時間を過ごしたいっていうコアな部分は変わってないんだ!

There was also a lot of awesome dancing this week. From the group on stage, to Tokumasa breakdancing on the floor. From the dance-off game where Debbie taught a dance to see who could do it best, to everyone dancing during the FUSE Band music. It was awesome to see everyone's moves and the freedom in the music. 前回のFJC（FUSE JESUS COMMUNITY）では超クールなダンスユニットも登場してくれた!Tokumasaのブレイクダンスも最高!DebbieのDance-Offゲームでもみんな大盛り上がり♪ダンスの余韻はThe FUSE Bandのライブにも続き、音楽に合わせてみんなが踊る様子はもう最高だった!

Living as "the new me"...

Who would've thought it'd be so difficult to throw balls around? At the FUSE this past week, balls were flying everywhere as people got to test their juggling skills. First one ball, then two balls, then three balls...to see who could hold out the longest.　ただボールを投げるだけ・・・なのになんでこんなに難しい?!前回のFUSEではジャグリングゲームで大盛り上がり。ボールがライブハウス内を飛び回る!!1つのボールから始まって、最終的には一気に3つ・・・Kくんが最後まで一番長くJ-Gと対戦したよ!おめでとー♪

After collecting all the balls and hearing more music from the FUSE Band, there was an awesome message called "Living as the New Me." When we begin to live in Christ, as was shared in the previous message, we no longer have to let our emotions control us. It is possible to say no and base our choices on facts and faith, not feelings.　ボールのお片づけをみんなで済ませた後は、FUSEバンドのライブと、”「新しい自分」として生きる”っていうメッセージ。イエスと共に生きる人生をスタートさせたら、私たちはもうこれ以上自分の感情の奴隷になって生きる必要なんてない。暴走する感情にNOって言って、移り行く感情に左右されない、「神さまにとって自分は宝物なんだ」っていう事実を基礎に人生を歩んでいけるんだよ！

Now, the phrases "Gospel music" and "Gospel choir" may be familiar to you. But what does the word "Gospel" really mean? Where does it come from, and what does it have to do with our lives? The message for the next FUSE will be "What is Gospel?" where we will get a glimpse behind the word to it's actual meaning. Come this Saturday to learn more.　ゴルペル音楽とか、ゴスペルクワイヤーとかって、みんなは聞いたことある?この”ゴスペル”って一体どんな意味なんだろう?どんな語源で、私たちの人生にどんな意味をもたらすんだろう?次回のFUSEでは、”ゴスペルって何だ?”っていうメッセージをするよ！
