Take a Risk and Grow...

Last Saturday at FUSE Jesus Community, we had a blast listening to awesome music from FUSE Band and playing a game to see who could blow the largest bubble from bubblegum. Also, heard a great message from Mark on taking risks. He spoke on how we grow thru taking risks even though they're hard, and challenged us to take 2 risks specifically - Risk Loving and Risk Believing.前回のFJCでは、FUSEバンドの生ライブでみんな熱く盛り上がった!チューインガムふくらましゲームでは、FUSEガールズのPowerがすごかった!マークのメッセージは、「リスクを負って僕らは成長する」。人生そのものがリスクを伴うもの!でも、どんなふうにリスクを負うことを恐れずに一歩踏み出すことで、みんなの毎日はもっと満たされることができる。リスクを負って愛すること、信じること。この2つの鍵を覚えて、今週一週間も歩いていこう。

This week at FUSE Jesus Community, there are a couple special events. This Tuesday, the 23rd, there is a jam night in Noborito at 7pm. If you play an instrument or enjoy singing or even just want to listen, email us for directions and come have fun with us. This Saturday at FJC will be our normal event in Machida, but directly after, we will all go bowling together. Who is Billy Mays by the way...?!

Last Saturday at FUSE Jesus Community, Asians and Americans alike got to test out their skills at using chopsticks to see which team could put more rice and macaroni into their team's bowl. Thankfully for us Americans, Asians and Americans were paired together :) Also we heard a great message from JoeG entitled "The Gospel According to Billy Mays." He talked about what ya get, what it costs, and how ya get it. 前回のFJCでは、アジア人と西洋人がお互いの箸のスキルを競い合った!!マカロニとお米、箸で一番多く掴めるのはどちらか?!Joe Gのメッセージは”Billy Maysに基づいたゴスペル・メッセージ”。Billy Maysって、アメリカでは有名なテレビ広告セレブらしい・・・

This coming week, there are some awesome special events at FUSE Jesus Community. First, at FJC on Saturday, is our special Valentines week. See a special valentines Darth Vader versus Pink Bunny video show for the first time and hear Mark's message "Everyday Valentines." Then after FJC, we will be going to karaoke at 5:30pm. We'll have heaps of fun singing together and chatting, so don't miss it! Also, Tuesday the 16th is game night for FUSE. It will be in Noborito at 6:30pm. Gospel is Good News!!!

Last week at the FUSE, we heard Smiley Yasu's story of what God had done to change his life. Following that, Mark shared on what the word "Gospel" really means. Gospel is another word for "good news." This specifically speaks of the good news of how Jesus traded his righteousness for all the bad we've done, so that we can come before God.前回のFUSEでは、我らがSimely Yasuによるライフストーリーのシェアリングがありました♪神さまがどんな風に彼の人生を変えてくれたかを話してくれたよ！続いてMarkのメッセージ、「ゴスペルってなんだ？？」。ゴスペルの語源は”Good News”だって知ってた?イエスが私たちの汚い部分を全部無償で負って、彼の聖さを私たちにくれる。それがGood　Newsなんだよ！

Living as "the new me"...

Who would've thought it'd be so difficult to throw balls around? At the FUSE this past week, balls were flying everywhere as people got to test their juggling skills. First one ball, then two balls, then three balls...to see who could hold out the longest.　ただボールを投げるだけ・・・なのになんでこんなに難しい?!前回のFUSEではジャグリングゲームで大盛り上がり。ボールがライブハウス内を飛び回る!!1つのボールから始まって、最終的には一気に3つ・・・Kくんが最後まで一番長くJ-Gと対戦したよ!おめでとー♪

After collecting all the balls and hearing more music from the FUSE Band, there was an awesome message called "Living as the New Me." When we begin to live in Christ, as was shared in the previous message, we no longer have to let our emotions control us. It is possible to say no and base our choices on facts and faith, not feelings.　ボールのお片づけをみんなで済ませた後は、FUSEバンドのライブと、”「新しい自分」として生きる”っていうメッセージ。イエスと共に生きる人生をスタートさせたら、私たちはもうこれ以上自分の感情の奴隷になって生きる必要なんてない。暴走する感情にNOって言って、移り行く感情に左右されない、「神さまにとって自分は宝物なんだ」っていう事実を基礎に人生を歩んでいけるんだよ！

Now, the phrases "Gospel music" and "Gospel choir" may be familiar to you. But what does the word "Gospel" really mean? Where does it come from, and what does it have to do with our lives? The message for the next FUSE will be "What is Gospel?" where we will get a glimpse behind the word to it's actual meaning. Come this Saturday to learn more.　ゴルペル音楽とか、ゴスペルクワイヤーとかって、みんなは聞いたことある?この”ゴスペル”って一体どんな意味なんだろう?どんな語源で、私たちの人生にどんな意味をもたらすんだろう?次回のFUSEでは、”ゴスペルって何だ?”っていうメッセージをするよ！
