Winners Vs. Whiners

FUSE Jesus Community just seems to be full of opportunities! Last Sunday was another day of people trying things for the first time! It's amazing what you can accomplish when you try something new. And at FJC, we like to encourage people while they are doing it!!フューズジーザスコミュニティー（以下FJC）はチャンスで満ちてます！この日曜日も誰かが新しいことにトライした日だった！新しい事にチャレンジして達成できることは素晴らしいね。FJCではみんながなにか新しい事にチャレンジすることを応援していきたいです！

This week, Ty led the FJC band for the first time. The other members of the band were a great help. Joe also translated the message for us this week. Mark's message was about having a winning attitude and about perseverance. Ganbatte! It was a message we all needed to hear-- and an encouragement not to waste time whining about circumstances or waiting for the right ones. Instead, we should take the opportunities that we have sitting in front of us!今週のFJCバンドはタイがリード初挑戦してくれた。他のメンバーも強力なヘルプでした。ジョーも今週のメッセージの通訳をしてくれた。現実の状況に泣き言をいったり、タイミングを待ちすぎて時間を無駄に使わないための励まし、私達みんな聞く必要があった、がんばって！のメッセージだった。目の前にあるチャンスを掴み取っていく励ましをもらった！

Speaking of opportunities, if you are looking for one in music, this Saturday we're going to have an instrument workshop. FUSE band members will showing people how to play! So, if you're interested in learning drums, lead guitar or whatever, show up! We are always looking for new opportunities in the FUSE band, and this is your opportunity! So, if this is something you're interested in, meet us Saturday at 5pm at Noborito! If you don't know how to get to Noborito Ekklesia, please email us at address below and we'll make sure someone is there to meet you and take you to the workshop! Living OK or Living the BEST??

Fresh is a good word to describe this Sunday's FUSE Jesus Community. It was a little different than usual, but different can be good too! We were missing our good friend Yuiko on Sunday, but Maki and Kengo stepped up to help out in the band. They did a great job! Also, Midori was willing to help make it a great bilingual time-- she translated the message this week!今週のフューズジーザスコミュニティーにはフレッシュという言葉がふさわしかった。いつもと少し違ったけど、その違いも良かった！私達の大好きなゆいこちゃんがお休みだった、でもまきちゃんとケンゴくんが、がんばってバンドの中で助けてくれた。よくがんばった！みどりちゃんもメッセージの通訳を積極的に助けてくれて、素晴らしい時間になった!

Mark asked us what word we would use to describe our life. Do you know what would yours be? His message this week was about Living Ok or Living the Best? It was a great message about priorities behind your dreams and how to make your life really count. There were a lot of really good points! Before we left, we celebrate Mother's Day. Our friend Madoka was with us, so we gave her a flower to say congratulations! あと今週は母の日のお祝いを最後にしました。私達の友達、まどかちゃんが来てくれてたから、お花をプレゼントして母の日おめでとうをつたえました！

Freedom From... and Freedom For...

We had a good time together this week at FUSE Jesus Community. Beside meeting new friends and hearing great music from the always awesome FJC band, we celebrated with Mark and Yuiko their 6th anniversary. All of us agreed that they are an example of how to have an excellent marriage relationship. We also had a first this weekend. Our friend Saki translated the message time for us into Japanese! She did a really great job!

先週もフューズ・ジーザス・コミュニティではみんなとの楽しい時間が過ごせた！新しい友達との出会い、最高な音楽・・・そして、最高な結婚を送っているカップルとしてのモデルだってみんなも思っている2人、マークとユイコの結婚6周年も一緒に祝った！そしてメッセージの通訳者にサキが初デビュー！超よかったよ！

Special Sakura Easter!

Sunday's FUSE Jesus Community was an awesome day!! It was special in many ways. After the FJC band played a couple songs, then we had a special guest performance by MIS, Airi Shigemizu. She sang beautifully and the room seemed to be filled with peace. 日曜日のフューズジーザスコミュニティーも素晴らしかった！いつもとは違ってスペシャルでした。フューズバンドが何曲か演奏した後、特別ゲストのMIS（しげみずあいりちゃん）のパフォーマンスがあった。凄く美しい歌を歌ってくれて、スタジオが平和で満たされてる感じだった。

We also celebrated the four girls who got baptized on Saturday. Saturday was a crazy rainy day but everyone had a great time and was very joyful. Mark later shared a message about Jesus' resurrection. He shared about the principle of life through death, which is the message of Easter. Mark compared it to sakura which is very beautiful but quickly fades away. It was a great message!あと、土曜日に洗礼を受けた４人のガールズのお祝いをしました。先週の土曜日はクレイジーな雨の日だったけど、洗礼パーティーに参加したみんなは超エンジョイした。洗礼を受けたガールズのお祝いの後にイエスの復活についてのメッセージをマークがシェアしてくれた。美しいけどはかなく散っていく桜を例えにして、イースターのメッセージの重要な”死を通しての命”について分かち合ってくれた。グレートなメッセージだった！

Airi finished our time together with one last song, accompanied by Yuiko. Everyone felt it was a very special song, and we want to share it with you! Power in Joy!

Last Sunday's FUSE Jesus Community was filled with lots of joy! It wasn't just because Mark shared on "The Power of Joy" this week! Mark's message was really good and really appropriate for this time in Japan where many things are being shaken. But Mark brought out two points to having unshakable joy-- know who you are and know where to focus! So, who are you? To have joy, what should you focus on? We had a joyful time also as we sang songs with the FUSE Jesus Community band! We heard a new song this week called "Go". It was very upbeat! We enjoyed time with new friends visiting us, and also with our friend Yuriko who was celebrating her 20th birthday! What a great day at FJC! あと、今週は新曲の”GO”っていうアップビートな曲も聞けて、フューズジーザスコミュニティーバンドとみんなで歌も歌ってとても楽しい時を過ごしたよ！新しい友達も来てくれたし、ゆりこちゃんの２０才の誕生日もみんなで祝うことができて嬉しかった！FJCでのグレートな１日だったよ！

Also, don't forget that on Saturday, April 23 we're going to have a Baptism Party!! We'll be meeting at Odakyu Kugenuma Kaigan Station at 2pm at the ticket gate. It's going to be awesome!! If you love Jesus and believe in him and want to get baptized, talk to your lifegroup leader! Then the next day, we're going to have a Sakura Easter celebration!! It'll be at 3pm at the Cloud 9 Studio in Machida. Our friend Airi will be doing a special life performance, so please invite your friends and come for this exciting day!! New New New!!!

This week we had a great time at FUSE Jesus Community. On our awesome FJC band, we had two new debuts this week!! Anna joined on vocals this week and Patrick joined us on guitar. It was nice to have new people on the FUSE band! We love to have new people participating at FJC! This week also Midori got an opportunity to translate for us! She did a great job!今週もフューズでとても素晴らしい時を過ごした。私達の最高のFJCバンドで２人もデビューしたよ！！アナがボーカルとして、パトリックがギターとして参加してくれた。新しい人がフューズバンドに参加してくれるのはナイスで、大好きです！みどりちゃんもトランスレーションデビューを飾り、グッドジョブだったよ！

Mark shared with us this week about a new season! It was an encouraging message! He shared about how when we meet Jesus we become new creations and that there are so many opportunities to work in the new season. Build Your Life on the Rock!

Hello everybody! I hope you guys had a very good week!! Well, today FUSE was super fun, as usual. We got the chance to catch up with old friends, and even got to make a couple of new friends!! こんにちは、みんな！みんな素晴らしい１週間を過せてたかな！！今日のフューズもいつも通りスーパー楽しかったよ。前に出会った友達にも、新しい友達にも会えた！！

Mark’s message was awesome today too! He talked about building our lives on a strong foundation. He said that it’s the same with building a structure: even if the building is strong, it’ll still wash away if the foundation is weak. But when we build our lives on Jesus the Rock, our lives will be able to withstand any pressure!! Even when really bad things happen to us, we will be able to remain standing, because our foundation kept us from falling. Mark also reminded us that, in order to build a really strong foundation, it’s important to get into the Word of God through journaling. This message was so good!! We also got the chance to hear about Saki’s trip to India!! She shared about how the people there were so poor, yet they always met them with a smile and open arms. She told us of a man they met who had cancer in his throat. As they visited with him, he told them that he wasn’t worried, because he knew God was with Him. Saki really reminded us of the fact that there are people who need God’s love everywhere in the world. She really encouraged us to share God not only with our friends in Japan, but also with our friends in the rest of the world. Please check out Saki’s story at our newdayjapan channel on YouTube. それから、さきちゃんのインド旅行のストーリも聞けた！！彼女がこの旅で出会ったインドの人は凄く貧しかったけど、彼らはいつも笑顔で両腕を広げてさきちゃん達を受け入れてくれる心をもった人達だったって分かちあってくれた。１人の男の人は喉に癌を患っていたけど、神様が一緒にいてくれるから心配してないって、彼女達がお見舞いに行ったときに話してくれたんだって。さきちゃんの話からこの世界中の人々が神様の愛を必要としてるんだって思った。日本にいる身近な友達だけじゃなくて世界に神様を分かち合っていくように励まされた。さきちゃんのストーリーの続きはYouTubeのニューデイジャパンチャンネル（newdayjapan channel）でチェックしてみて。
